| Narborough is a parish of 450 dwellings, mostly bungalows. It lies between King's Lynn and Swaffham just off the A47, and so is well positioned for road and rail connections into London. The historic city of Norwich is just 30 miles away and the picturesque Broads area is only a couple of hours drive. Narborough boasts the beautiful Parish Church of All Saints, which has a lovely pond behind it, providing a quiet, reflective area. The Ship Inn guards one end of the village while the impressive Community Centre guards the other. We are only a short distance from RAF Marham with it's Tornados but, surprisingly, we hear very little noise from the aircraft. The village has a very good relationship with RAF Marham and we support each other. We have a busy little shop/off licence and post office, which is a place to meet most of the village, and the Trout Lakes, which are very popular with the local fishermen. The surrounding countryside comprises woodland, arable farmland and grazing/meadow land. |
